Weekly Book Picks
SPG commissions Saskatchewan writers to review members’ books. The reviews are submitted to all the weekly newspapers in the province as well as to anyone who signs up to receive them. SPG also posts the reviews on the website.Archives of Book Picks from 2001 – 2008 are available at the Weekly Book Picks Archive Page.
SPG Members-Only Listserv
SPG moderates a members-only listserv, and sends publishing information, awards deadlines, and current events to members in a timely fashion.
Display Program
SPG takes travelling displays of members’ books to teacher and librarian conferences, trade shows, and gift markets. SPG has a permanent display at the office as well.
Professional Development Workshops and Annual Tri-Province Publishers Forum
Scheduled workshops for development of all aspects of publishing.
EcoKit
The EcoKit is “a compendium of tips, terms, resources, and papers for environmentally friendly publishing. The print EcoKit is a handy tool for publishers, production and marketing staff, and printers”. If you would like print copies for your staff or business partners, just let the SPG office know.
