Weekly Book Reviews
The Saskatchewan Publishers Group (SPG) has developed the Weekly Book Picks program to help spread the good word about Saskatchewan’s thriving book industry. Each week, a free 400-500 word review is e-mailed to every weekly newspaper in Saskatchewan. These reviews, written by some of the province’s best emerging and established writers, are also archived on this web site for easy access to our visitors from around the world. The reviews are updated every week on SPG’s dedicated reviews site, so you can click on the ’subscribe’ icons on the Book Reviews page to have a new review delivered to your RSS reader every week!
If your newspaper would like to participate in this program, if you have suggestions on how to improve this program or if you would like to unsubscribe from this program, please send an e-mail to: spg@saskpublishers.sk.ca and we will fulfill your request. If you’re not a newspaper but would like to receive these reviews each week when we send them out, please send us an e-mail as well!
If your newspaper hasn’t been running these reviews and you would like them to, please contact your newspaper and request them! Full contact information for all Saskatchewan weekly newspapers can be found at the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association web site.
Below are archives of the reviews published between 2001 and 2008.
