Welcome

The Saskatchewan Publishers Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Saskatchewan book publishers and promoting Saskatchewan-published resources. The SPG offers:
  • A number of Programs from marketing, display, and sales to Professional Development;
  • PaperCuts catalogue of Members' books;
  • Support and resources for emerging publishers;
  • Bi-monthly newsletter featuring industry news & current events;

SPG is not a book publisher! If you are a writer looking for information on how to have your manuscript published, please contact your local writers' guild. In Saskatchewan, you can get in touch with the Saskatchewan Writers Guild - they provide advice, services, mentorship, competitions, and resources for writers. You can also check out our publishing information resources on this website for more information.

Saskatchewan Books In Schools Catalogue

April 16th, 2010

The Saskatchewan Publishers Group is pleased to present Saskatchewan Books In Schools, a catalogue of Saskatchewan-published books geared for use by teachers, teacher-librarians, and librarians in Saskatchewan schools. This catalogue was developed in conjunction with Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Learning, and many of the titles featured have been reviewed by the Ministry of Learning for the Saskatchewan school curriculum. Saskatchewan Books In Schools will be mailed to every school in the province. You can request a copy from the SPG while supplies last, or you can download your own copy here.

**UPDATE** Since the time of publication, Gabriel Dumont Institute’s Dancing in My Bones by Wilfred Burton and Anne Patton (illustrated by Sherry Farrell Racette) has been recommended by the SK Ministry of Learning. Check back often for further updates!

New Website!

March 31st, 2010

SPG’s website has a brand new (and much updated) look, as you’ve probably noticed by now. Our online bookstore is just to the right of the main screen, complete with online payment completion options, search functions, and lots and lots of books. The new website was designed by Ryan J. Thompson and was implemented by the kind and awesome folks at Digital Digs.

SPG would like to acknowledge the support of Saskatchewan Lotteries through SaskCulture for this project, as well as the support of the Canadian Book Fund from the Department of Canadian Heritage.
